This week sees Brookfields School celebrate Children in Need on Friday 18th November. We want to make this year’s Children In Need event a whole-school celebration so we can raise as much money as possible mixing the whole school together across a variety of different events throughout the day. Our topic in Pink Class this term is “All About Me”. We have been exploring the story of “Supertato” by Sue Hendra. We had a wonderful evening to celebrate the achievements of our students at our recent presentation evening, not only in terms of academic achievements but also personal achievements. Families, friends, staff and students joined together to acknowledge and recognise the amazing work and achievements made. Children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 went on an Autumn visit to the “Five A Day” Market Garden at Englefield. They had opportunities to experience a range of different activities including picking and tasting fruit, using tools, sowing seeds, pond dipping and exploring the texture and smell of herbs.  They all thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and it was wonderful to observe their self confidence in exploring a new outdoor environment.
