Brookfields Watches The Tempest

Posted: Thursday 22nd October 2015

On Thursday 22nd October, 48 students from Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 travelled to the Oxford Playhouse to watch The Tempest.

The performance was stunning with the set made entirely from old clothes and all the music played on a set of wine glasses – but the real talking point for the students was the washing machine at the beginning.

All the staff were very proud of our pupils, who were a real credit to the school. Even with full Shakespearean language, they still managed to laugh in all the right places. And when the actor playing Prospero came on our coach to see us and wish us luck for our own Shakespeare Schools Festival performance of The Tempest, it really topped off the whole trip.
