What a beautiful autumn we have been having! The warm autumn days have been most welcome. The excitement on the first day of this term is a fading memory but it was lovely welcoming the pupils back to school after the summer break and hearing all their news. At the time of writing this newsletter, England are through to the semi-finals of the World Cup, the skies are still blue and the summer temperatures continue to slowly creep up. Unfortunately, the high temperatures have meant that we have not be able to run some of the activities we had planned such as the final Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition, or, we have had to adapt those we had planned, such as Sports Day.
It has been a busy half term for the school with a range of onsite and offsite activities for all pupils. We have had a number of residential visits this half term. Students and staff from Key Stage 4 and 6th Form spent a week at Kingswood Outdoor Adventure Centre near Ashford.
