Key Stage 2 goes Totally Tropical!

Posted: Monday 11th July 2016

The pupils and staff in Key Stage 2 have been exploring yet another inspiring and interesting topic, namely the rhythm of Brazilian carnival music.

Black class went to the Living Rain Forrest and really enjoyed the experience of entering a hot and humid tropical climate with variety of plants and animals.

Other classes in Key Stage 2 made their own Brazilian drums of a variety of colours, shapes and sizes which were played with gusto at the end of the day in a grand parade. To add to the colour and festivities, the pupils had made some stunning headdresses and wore some colourful face paints.

There were some unexpected visitors too! The pupils were visited by some tropical animals – a snake, spider, a gecko and tortoise!

Everyone had a fantastic day and got totally tropical!
