Secondary Sports Day 2015

Posted: Friday 18th September 2015

On Friday 18th September 2015 we held our Secondary Sports day. We were extremely lucky with the weather, which held out to allow us to finish all 70+ races. We welcomed over 100 parents who came to cheer all the pupils on. Everyone made a great effort on the day and it was fantastic to see all the pupils competing so well with each other, showing great sportsmanship towards each other. All pupils should be congratulated, especially those that won the medals for sportsmanship.

We would also like to say a big thank you to the families who helped raise the 6th Form students raise £160 for Macmillan Cancer Support through the coffee morning they organised.

After Sports Day had finished and the parents had left, Mr Maycock and Mr Rosier were left to count up the points scored by each of the 3 Houses. All the pupils eagerly awaited the final results which were announced at assembly in the afternoon. For the second year running, Thames House won the overall sports day with Loddon and Kennet House joint second.
